Indiana Jones (3)

 The LEGO Indiana Jones™ Universe

The LEGO Indiana Jones theme lets fans build iconic moments from the legendary film franchise. Like the numbered eras of classic LEGO and the waves of Toy Story, this theme has its own distinct "chapters" that tell the story of its history and why certain sets are treasures for collectors.

History: The Two Eras of LEGO Indiana Jones

Unlike some themes that run for years, LEGO Indiana Jones is defined by two distinct "waves" tied to movie releases.

The Original Golden Age (2008–2009)
The theme was first announced in June 2007 and launched in 2008, following the successful Lego Star Wars franchise . The initial wave featured sets based on Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, with sets based on the then-new Kingdom of the Crystal Skull releasing alongside the film later that year .

The 2008 sets use the 762x numbering series, while a 2009 wave added sets with 719x, 768x, and 20004 numbers, finally including scenes from The Temple of Doom . In total, 18 sets were released over these two years, referencing all four films . The line was discontinued in 2010 .

The Revival (2023)
For the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the theme was revived. The new sets use 770xx numbering and include both classic scenes and potential new movie content . Sets like 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb and the 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol (a 1,545-piece set for adults) have been released, though some have already been retired or are hard to find
